Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Iftikhar Rasul is as seasoned professional having an experience of over 35 years in the realms of Security, Fraud Risk Management, Business Continuity/Disaster Management, Procurement, Budget Forecasting & Administration. Iftikhar joined Pakistan Army in 1978 and retired in 2008 after meritorious and successful completion of service. During the military service he attained a varied experience wherein he held various command and staff appointments in Army Logistics, Procurement, Intelligence and National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
After retiring from service in 2008 Iftikhar took up assignment with HSBC Bank Middle East Limited Pakistan as their country head Security and Fraud Risk (SFR). Post HSBC’s acquisition by Meezan Bank Limited in October 2014 joined Meezan bank Limited as their Head of Security and Fraud & Forgery Department. Iftikhar joined Faysal Bank in 2015 as Head of Fraud Risk Management (FRM) function and worked there till November 2016 when Management transferred him to Head General Service Department (GSD) of the bank based on his extensive experience in Procurement/Logistics and Administration.
Iftikhar remained head of GSD till he took retirement form the bank in November 2020. After retiring from Faysal Bank Iftikhar has established a Consultancy that is providing training and consultancy services to the banks, Insurance Companies, Construction firms and government departments/others in the spheres of Security, Fraud Risk and Business Continuity/disaster management.
Iftikhar holds a bachelor’s Degree from University of Peshawar and is also a graduate from Command and staff college Quetta. During his Army career, besides accomplishing professional expertise in Security, Intelligence, Logistics, Procurement, Budget Forecasting, he was also involved in carrying out research studies on food security and quality control. While in NAB he had conducted investigations of white-collar crimes/corruption and corrupt practices both in public and private sector.
Attended seminars & workshops both in Pakistan and abroad on combating white collar crime with Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and United State Department of Justice (DOJ). Iftikhar while in NAB had organized training of NAB investigators on white collar crime. While in Bank Iftikhar had organized regular training of management/staff on security, Fraud Risk Management and Business Continuity.
Iftikhar is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) a certificate issued by Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) USA. He is also on the advisory council of ACFE. Iftikhar has also done few e- learning courses on AML, Information Security, and holds a certificate from West Virginia University USA in Forensic Accounting and Fraud Examination. Iftikhar has also been a member and President PBA Fraud Forum.
